Fall Festival

Fall is one of the cherished seasons that people wait for every year, where the cold wind blows your hair and the ground is covered with colorful leaves to reveal a beautiful view. Likewise in ISG Dammam, we never got tired of trying to amuse our Leopards with different kinds of atmosphere throughout the school year. On the 31st of October till the 2nd of November, we celebrated the spirit of Fall, where each department creatively decorated the school in a scary and spooky style and came wearing creative costumes to add color to the atmosphere.

To start with, the Elementary Fall Festival was a great success because of the incredible collaboration of all the staff and the students did to create something different and entertaining. We had the pleasure to welcome parents to share this festival with us and their delighted children. At the early morning after the little Leopards settled in their classes with their exclusive costumes, they were prepared by their teachers to march across the hallways till they reached the soccer field, and they formed a big, organized circle. The parents themselves, who was happier than the children, took pictures and proudly watched them enjoying the day. After that, the students went to nibble different kinds of Halloween-themed food and got to choose any activity they would like to do. They could either have an amusing face painting, play fun games in the gym, play racing robots that can be remotely controlled, or take a photo in the Photo Booth.

In the same way, the Middle School also had their wonderful time. The students came with their unique costumes, enjoyed their day by playing different kind of games, and danced with the upbeat spirit in their socials.

Last but not least, the High School! On this week, the High School Department was filled with the spirit of Fall and Halloween. High School students came with their costumes on the 31st of October and it was fascinating to see people with their own creative costumes. They got their new Munchies cafe, which is sponsored by the Business class, where coffee, cookies, popcorn, and other appetizing snacks were sold. Not to mention, the Student Council also played a big role in lighting up the week. They held a Bake Sale, various of mini-games, and, how can we forget, the lively Socials that was held in the 2nd of November in our auditorium. We can say it was just lit.

The Fall Festival celebration is one of the themed celebrations that ISG Dammam hold every year to put the word ‘fun’ in our minds when we hear the word ‘school’. It simply just tells us that with all our different costumes, each one of us is different and unique on our own. But a spiritual, fun week with several entertainments can gather us all as one.

DAS Speech Contest Winners

When the Leopards Speak, They Roar

Suddenly, everything went quite. I could see faces of excitement and joy, I could see bliss shining through, I could see happiness in its purest form. Yet, it was as if the whole world had been set to mute. I bounced out of my chair and darted towards the stage, grinning from ear to ear. They had just announced my name as the 3rd place winner, and it was my time to claim the prize. Standing on that stage and looking around at all the excitement that upheld the room, with my classmates and teachers out of their seats clapping, I began to wonder how it was all worth it. The hard work, the stress, the practicing, the memorization, they all melted away as I took one glance at my certificate, and almost instantly I knew, I could never be happier. But the thrill hadn’t ended just yet, for as I descended from the stage, they announced the 2nd place winner, another leopard, Noor Hazem! Several went around telling us how we’ve made the leopards proud, but truth be told, we were the ones who were proud to represent our first home. So to Nada Ibrahim, Bana Salim, Imy Shenouda, Yara Khalil, and Noor Hazem, thank you guys for making this day, one of the greatest days of my existence. With their powerful delivery of speeches, I couldn’t help but shiver. And yet again with their help, the leopards have soared so high. For as long as the leopards shall live, they will conquer, master, prosper. “Congratulations on winning!” they said, to which I smiled and replied: “we are all winners today.”

4th Annual Carnival

Games, prizes, face painting and more,
Hotdogs, popcorn, treats galore !
“Time spent away from family is time wasted”, that is the motto that ISG – Dammam has kept in mind while preparing for the 4th annual Carnival. The school-wide event, held on February 21st, 2015, has not only attracted the attention of kids, families, and high schoolers alike, but has also refueled the joy in our hearts after such a long and stressful semester. Seeing things such as bouncy castles, bean-bag toss, face painting , raffle draw and the marvelous photo booth aimed in bringing back the memories of previous exciting times in all our childhoods, as well as helped create refined memories for the children of the present and the generations of the future. Such a success could not have been achieved without our beloved sponsors, clubs, and not to mention volunteers whom we would like to thank enormously. Also, we would love to congratulate all the prize winners in the raffle draw that we’ve been anticipating for a long time (can’t say we don’t envy you, cause we do!). Setting the bar high was a achievement that ISG – Dammam has proudly earned year after year, and we absolutely cant wait to see how high they’d aim in the many years to come!
